Location – Located near the small township of Gretna, in the gorgeous Derwent Valley, Truffle Lodge is surrounded by lush and fertile fruit farms and it’s around 40 minutes drive from the centre of Hobart.

Rooms – The tents are superbly furnished with luxurious fabrics and textiles. Each tent has it’s own ingeniously designed bathroom and a generously sized deck overlooking the flowing Derwent River and surrounding districts. There is a common area for guests use that consists of three farm sheds connected by decks. This area is refered to as “The Lodge” and contains deep comfortable leather lounges, indoor and outdoor dining and a cosy fireplace.

Restaurant – Truffle Lodge serves a superb breakfast every day in “The Lodge”. Dinner is also served in “The Lodge” and is a true Tasmanian fare consisting of a rustic style set menu.. You can choose to sit at an individual table or join other guests at the communal table.

General – Truffle lodge offers numerous country style activities including – walking through the orchard, bike riding, fishing , swimming in the river, watching the wildlife including birds and maybe even a platypus. Within 30 minutes drive is the beautiful Russell Falls, the Tall Trees Walk, the Nant Distillery, and the MONA Museum.
